Philipok Beatrice was inspired by the beautiful drawings made in a story-book written by Leo Tolstoy. This little boy named Philipok strongly wishes to follow his older brother Peter to school, impatient to learn to read and to write. This new creation is made in all bisque, has a fully jointed body and wears a hand-made two-tones blond human hair wig. His blue glass eyes were specially hand-made for him in Germany. Philipok wears the typical coat and striped wool trousers in blue tones. On his feet are the popular shoes called "lapti", hand-made in raw cotton and completed by woolen socks. He holds an abecedarian book and trails a little wooden toy. The doll is completed by a brass plate on wooden base stand. For this special collection, each doll will come in a signed box. Limited edition of 25 in the U.S. and 10 in Europe. Retail price: $1,150.00 [SOLD OUT] |
